Why is Google Showing Website Breadcrumbs in Search Results URL?

If you have noticed some changes in the search engine results page, then you are not alone. Recently, Google, Yahoo, and Bing have continuously began to change the way the organic results appear. The latest change has been adding breadcrumbs, rather than the entire URL. What this means is that you should implement breadcrumbs into your website to take advantage of this. Breadcrumbs are a easy way for both humans and the search engines to navigate through your website. It is like a site map, but not a substitute for a site map. If you had a choice, make sure to use site maps. Then you can create breadcrumbs to help navigate users quickly and efficiently through your website.

The nicest feature is that you can click on any of the breadcrumb links on the search results and the visitor will be taken to that category on your site. This is almost like Google Site Links in a way. It offers more landing pages for searchers to land on when discovering new sites.

Thanks for the heads up on breadcrumbs! Where have I been lately I haven't kept myself updated on such important changes on Google for SEO? I noticed this on my personal searches but didn't realize its significance on getting more traffic.
